Editorial standards

A short constitution for a desk that covers a market famous for cutting corners.

No financial advice

Articles explain how products, licences and risks work. They are not personalised advice under the Financial Advisers Act and they are not an invitation to deal. If a sentence can be read as “buy this”, we rewrite it.

Sources

Policy claims should be traceable to MAS, Parliament, the courts or a named company filing. When a founder speaks, we say so. Anonymous colour is allowed for security stories when the alternative is silence; we still need a second source for the fact.

Corrections

Material errors get a note at the top of the article with the time of the change. Send them through the contact form. We do not silently swap a regulatory date.

Conflicts and holdings

Staff and regular contributors disclose token holdings and client work that a reasonable reader would want to know. We do not assign a writer to cover a token they hold in size.

Sponsored and guest-post links

Any link that is paid, affiliate, or part of a guest-post arrangement carries rel="sponsored". That includes the write-for-us pipeline. We do not sell unmarked hyperlinks. Native advertising, if we ever run it, will be labelled as advertising in the kicker and in the HTML.

Images

We host Creative Commons or public-domain photographs and credit them on the page and on the image credits list.

AI

Tools may help with research notes. They do not get a byline and they do not get to invent a MAS notice. Editors remain responsible for the published text.
